Not in detail, though it looks simple enough. [Really, with all of the technology Van's had his hands on, to be stumped by a book would just be embarrassing.] Designed for those with limited technology, I'd imagine.

Aesthetically yes, but I doubt this is any kind of technology anyone here has seen. It's simple enough to learn, but when you actually think about what it is, you can't really answer that.
