It's just as if the "bubble" that they were in broke at that moment. I could actually feel it as the outside world seeped into the moment they shared.

I love its layered meaning, no matter how sad it is.
It feels as if that was your way of finding closure too, but I might be reading stuff into it...

I am totally convinced this is happening in canon, even if we don't see it. No matter what's happening in House's life on the show, he is taking those little, quiet moments and he is calling Cameron and *pushing* her. And she's pushing back. And there will never NOT be that little magnetic spark between them. No matter what.
