Gorgeous. And Lyla...I LOVE HER SO MUCH NOW. You write her so well. Ugh. :P She's such a compelling character, and you make her come alive with very few words.

I have two questions though..

ut Lyla’s been looking for someone to understand for a long time. She might just be in love Tim Riggins for years.

Is it supposed to say "be in love with Tim..."?

Maybe, she’s going to be a nice guy, somebody that makes her laugh or even study French.

I don't know if Lyla's actually a guy..so.. :P I'll stop picking on you.

Still am, although -- obviously, very pleasantly.

(18) She will leave Dillon one day. Maybe, she’s going to meet a nice guy, somebody that makes her laugh or even study French. She might come back, maybe for Christmas because her parents will still be there, her siblings are gonna be Panthers too. And she’ll just be Lyla.
This is one of my favorites.

I really enjoyed this collection of Lyla facts! My favorites are 2 and 20. With such a "girly girl" character, I did wonder why she would run so hard. And I loved that distance she wants to put between her and Pam.

I'm not sure I agree with 6--that she doesn't like cheering--I think Tim made a good point in "It's different for girls" when he said that Lyla's good at cheering and that she loves doing it. I guess I just like to believe that she likes cheering and that Tim can see that.

Overall, I really like your phrasing. It's lovely, and I liked this glimpse into Lyla. You've made me think about her more, so thanks!

I think with six, what I was trying to do, was to really surface what she was trying to avoid. That she wasn't happy, that she's having a hard time stepping out and trying to admit stuff to herself. It's not that she hates cheering, she hates that she didn't get to choose it.

Oh, that was beautiful. I was slow to warm up to Lyla, but as the show progressed I liked her more and more, and fics like this make me completely fall in love with her.
