Aw, that's sad. I like that you didn't make Veronica extra snarky, because that shtick is getting old. I mean, I know the death of her dad is the one thing that might really break her, but so many VM fanfics try too hard to capture a witty Veronica, when it should really be.. like.. a real Veronica. You know what I mean. I think you captured her really well, without resorting to the first-person narrative. :)

Wow, that was so very wrong and yet so very good.

Her issues are like summer memories, slipping away.

This line just stood out to me for some reason. It's wistful and creates a nice sense of melancholy without being overly sentimental. Very nice.
