Beware the man called Gilles de Rais. He is also known as 'Caster,' but he is extremely dangerous. For now, I believe is magic has been taken and he is not an immediate threat...but he is still capable of murdering children with his bare hands.

[Voice - Locked to Blue]Master, a man has arrived that could prove to be a direct threat. I must ( Read more... )

Huh.

[Bazett blinks at the video. Truly, human technology is too much for her to understand.]

Um...can you see me? This is two-way, right?

[She goes back to her cold, confident Enforcer persona.]

Do not worry about him. At least, not for the rest of today. I will be taking care of the problem called "Gilles de Rais" shortly.

[However, what really catches her attention is how the woman mentioned Gilles as "Caster."]

So he is one of those Grail War Heroic Spirits? How do you know of the Grail War?

It is I that should be asking you that question. I am a Servant myself.

Oh? What class?

[She does not recognize this woman as any of the Class Cards that she had previously encountered.]

I am Bazett Fraga McRemitz. I am a Sealing Designate Enforcer. I know of the Grail War by word of mouth.

Since you give me your name, I must return the courtesy. I am Arturia Pendragon King of Britain, and I have been summoned under the designation of 'Saber.'

[King Arthur, huh? She's not sure how she should feel about the woman, who, for all intents and purposes, is a symbol of British imperialism. Technically, Bazett herself is British (Ulster is in North Ireland), though of Irish ancestry. As a mage, she also had less interest in human politics. Still, even though she has no personal grudge against Arturia, she has some reservations about this woman who stands for the centuries-long domination of her homeland.]

I see...what can you recall of your Grail War? Are you aware of a Rin Tohsaka, Lancer, or Illyasviel Von Einzbern in your version of the Grail War?

[Then Bazett is a victim of Anglo-Saxon propaganda; Arturia herself stood against the ancestors of the modern English to defend her people against them. It is only in modern times that she has been claimed as a symbol for hte English]

I know all of them, yes.

[But the English version is far more popular, giving her the Round Table and many of her knights (though many more had origins in French and German legend). Since Bazett mostly works with Irish mythology, she only knows the basics of other myths, including Arthurian legend. Unless Arturia wants Bazett to ask her about the time she stole Fionn MacCumhail's dogs and Fionn chased her halfway across Britain.]

What was your relationship with them?

[This would decide whether this woman was enemy or ally...even though she's not sure how comfortable she is having the pinnacle of British propaganda as an ally.]

[Oh the English, ruining everything]

Rin was a friend of my Master, Ilya an opposing, and Lancer was the Servant of another Enemy. I bear no ill will against any of them; there is no war to fight and we were only enemies of circumstance to begin with.

[As Lancelot, in all his French glory (yes, Lancelot is French both in the real world origin of his legend and the origin given to him in said legends, how else do you think he's so lucky in bed all the time) would say, their mothers were hamsters and their fathers smelt of elderberries ( ... )

I was Servant to one Emiya Kiritsugu in the 4th war and Emiya Shirou in the 5th. Are you acquainted with them?

answerer_sword December 6 2011, 06:12:15 UTC
I see...

[Emiya, it seemed, had also participated a Grail War. Not only that, but there was more than one Grail War. No wonder she had encountered two Archers here. She just wonders why all the Class Cards seemed to imitate the Spirits of the 5th Grail War.]

I am an ally of Emiya Kritsugu here. I do not know of an Emiya Shirou except that Tohsaka's sister claims that he is her lover.

[And that he had apparently died in the previous crisis.]

I see...well I suppose I can understand that man having some allies.

Oh?

[The woman's tone sounds a little strange when speaking of her former master.]

He is a former Enforcer, at least, the version of him from my world is. I am a current Enforcer. We both fight for the same side. It is obvious that we would be allies.

Strange. He is your master, is he not?

[The more she hears of the Holy Grail War, the stranger it all seems. King Arthur had fought with two Masters during two Grail Wars, and both masters were Emiya. Yet, in her world, the Emiya clan seemingly did not have an heir to pass down their crest to,]

Is...there any relation at all between your two Masters?

I believe Kiritsugu adopted Shirou as his son.
