OK, that's it. Them spammers have lost what subtlety they might have had.
Am I really going to open an email, with an attachment, from Goddess Pamphilos Viveiros, which has the subject "Virus Sample"?

And for some unknown reason, my @ sign and my " sign have switched places. All I did was turn on the laptop...

The @/" keys have switched positions on US/UK keyboard layouts. Maybe your computer has the wrong setting?

Some programs seem incapable of telling the difference, even when the rest of the computer seems happy with the British settings.

i know for a fact that your @ and " have changed place cos Windows has gone into American language mode, cos I have an american keyboard and the PC at home as a UK one and those keys are swapped on the keyboard. just change it back to "English (United Kingdom)" in the language settings.

I've had that problem for ages with the @/" keys. Thought my keyboard had just gone doolally. Thanks guys; now it all works okay :)
