OMG...how do you PERFECT?! I feel a connection with these characters in your writing that I haven't felt for a while with Show. You always bring out the deeply complex and yet distilled emotion and feeling that is such a part of Supernatural. Sadly, it is the part they've forgotten, so wrapped in cheap shocks and general horror. This....this is Castiel and the Winchesters. This is DEAN. This is perfect...

Oh this is LOVELY. You so captured the voices of each character and the mood and it's just achingly melancholy and yet hopeful and beautiful :) Excellent job :)

Just... wow. I loved this. So much atmosphere. And like you said, could bbe pre-slash, could be the very real bond of friendship between these two, and it all just makes SENSE. Great job.
