It wasn't enough to know what had happened that day when she was sent back into time, Annabeth had to know what it meant. The manipulation of time could point to Kronos' meddling, but why he hadn't simply killed them yet - and more importantly, why he hadn't brought the other demigods here as well led her to think that it wasn't him. There were people here who didn't even believe in the gods and then there were people here from completely different universes.
She had debated against telling anybody her experience - especially Percy, who didn't even know that Luke had come to see her in the first place. Percy, who was feeling tense enough already. He wouldn't understand about Luke. Nobody else did. There wasn't a single person who could accuse Annabeth Chase of stupidity, but when it came to the people she loved there was a sort of blindness. A weak point.
Finally, she'd cracked and decided to tell Thalia despite knowing the other (former) demigod's opinion when it came to Luke. She would have thought that Thalia of all people would have had more understanding - they were a family. And yet she knew that Thalia's mindset was the most pragmatic. Knocking on the door of Thalia's trailer, Annabeth scuffs at a couple of stones in the earth, kicking up dust into the air as she does.
