Laparascopic surgery was the easy time I remembered from when I had my gall bladder out seventeen years ago. The most pain you have is the day of the op. The next day, the pain drops off sharply and you go home. Which was what I did ( Read more... )

Going by F's example you can expect three-monthly check-ups by an oncologist for the first year, dropping off to six monthly in year 2, then annually until you hit five years on and are officially clear. But: congratulations, and good luck!

(If you're going to get cancer anywhere, about the least-bad place to get it is inside an organ that evolved to contain rapidly-dividing bundles of alien cells ... it's much better at preventing the cancer from escaping into the rest of your body and running wild than just about anything else.)
