What books did you give for Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa/Yule/(Insert Forgotten Holiday here)?

I gave quite a few books for Christmas this year, but I can't talk about them since the people who will receive them have not yet opened their gifts.

I gave a book about gardening (and a small one about getting rid of snails) to my mum and a biography about a danish actress to my grandmother. My grandmother bought a book for my grandfather about the peat diggers in the area where he grew up. My cousin (7yo) got a book from our other cousin about a pony which she has already read three pages of by herself in spite of having only just started to learn how to read since the summer holiday.
Me, I got a book with vegetarian recipes (all of which look wildly complicated to make. Eep!)

I got a book by Dickens that he wrote for his children, "The Life of Our Lord" and a haiku book simply titled "Baseball Haiku"

A couple of "Where were you when" popular history books and some comic books. I love comic books. :-)

Yeah, you got some really sweet books this year!

I'll definitely review The Last Egyptian whenever I get around to reading it!

Gave - a theology book to my sister, book about Lotta Svärd letters to my grandmother (who was a member of that organization during the last wars), two Patricia Cornwell novels to my mother (there is no Finnish translation of the latest Kinsey Milhone novel yet) and a book of Finnish recent history by a Finnish diplomat Max Jacobson to my dad.

Received - none.
