How interesting! It sounds like a very unique story with great characters...and characters are a must for me most of the time!
I'm quite squeamish as well, but I've read some past books with gruesome details, so it's good to know!

Okay. I'm back. ;) With all of the rumblings on the internet and the book blog circuit, I'm not surprised that this is one of your favorite books of the year, but your top 10?!?! That's big. I'm really enjoying this book, I'm about 3/4 through. I'm of the opinion, at the moment, that Marianne is 700 years old. It's a magical book and I want to believe in the impossible.
