I remember plucking his books from the shelves in my elementary school, mainly because if things said or pictured dragons or dinosaurs on the cover, I was so there. whether it was Dragon of the Lost Sea(Which did have dragons ♥) or Dragonwings(Which didn't).

I should probably read more of the ones that didn't involve dragons.

Ha ha, I'm pretty sure that's why I read Dragonwings, too. The lack of actual, flying dragons disappointed my third-grade self.

Now I'm trying to remember books I read in elementary school that did have dragons in 'em. I'm drawing a blank except for 'The Dragons of Blueland' and Bruce Coville's Magic Shop book about dragons. I keep wanting to say it's "The Dragon That Ate My Teacher" but I'm pretty sure I'm just combining ALL of Bruce Coville's titles to come up with that one. (Wiki says its 'Jeremy Thatcher, Dragon Hatcher'

This book sounds like a good match for my basketball loving daughter. Thanks for stopping by my blog for a visit!

Your daughter is the perfect age for this book. :) I think I was about 9 or 10 when I read my first Yep novel.

I'm going to get this one for my son. I think he'd really enjoy it.

I've never heard of Laurence Yep, but that's not terribly surprising as I've only recently come away from the classic lit section of the store.

Mags has a particular affinity for all things asian, as she's half-Vietnamese, but not a basketball fan.

This sounds like an athlete would enjoy it, I'll check our school library and see if they have it. If not, I'll suggest it!.
