Yep, Harry Potter + Narnia. As written by Salinger. With lots of hipsters.

I hated nearly every character in the book and found much of it slow and/or disturbing. And yet, I came away feeling affected and like I'd just read something well-constructed. The last portion of the book gets pretty intense and enjoyable. I plan on reading the sequel.

Agreed! If he could have cut down the time in NYC even more, and written more time in Fillory, I think I would have been so much happier with the end result.
