A Date, But Not Really

A friend is coming down to visit me this weekend and on Saturday, we're going to dinner, seeing a movie and then going out for drinks. What is a good outfit for this type of date? It's got to be casual yet dressy.

I'm sure it's going to be cold this weekend. I would suggest jeans, heels or high heeled boots. As for a top, if you have any of those bolero/wrap tops. I'm drawing a blank here. I guess they were called shrugs? If you wear nice shoes you dress up the outfit and that type of shirt is kind of dressy.

I'd just go with jeans and a nice top, a blouse or a really cute/pretty tank top looks pretty dressy.
