Happy Valentine's Day!
As I'm thinking about hearts and romance and all that Hallmark stuff, I always think about some of my favorite romantic stories. Gone with the Wind is the book I always think of when I try to picture an epic, Hollywood-style romance - the characters are simply unforgettable! The other great classic romance that comes to mind is, naturally, Pride and Prejudice. Jane Austen's romances have the high drama of Margaret Mitchell's novel, but they're also quite funny and there's always a happy ending. When I try to think of a more contemporary book with a great love story, I think of The Gargoyle or The Heretic Queen.
