Voting - Challenge 1, Round 1

Welcome to the first round of farscapelims voting! Please feel free to ask any questions if something isn't clear to you. The point of this voting is to give other icon makers constructive feedback on their icons. Because of this and the number of entries (awesome turnout!) I have decided that we will be voting for the three highest and lowest

Question! (Unscreen this one please, others might find it helpful too :) )

I'm confused because I read all of those links and the first two seem to contradict each other. The first one tells us not to 'rant about an icon' and the second one prefers longer explanations over a single, short sentence. I'd personally agree more with the second link, but you're the mod, so which way is it here? :)

Also (I'm sure this reads somewhere but I'm blind and stupid today :P), how many people will be eliminated this round?

I admit I didn't look at those all closely when I posted the links, I just saw that there were some good examples in all of them.

You only need to point to one aspect of an icon in the vote, however feel free to write as much as you want, as long as it's constructive. Ranting sort of implies to me that one would not be really focused on the icon or just bashing it, which we definitely don't want.

So far there have been votes that range from 2-3 sentences long, to ones of only a few words. While I too think the more detailed reasons are more useful for icon makers, as long as voters include practical feedback it doesn't have to be very long if someone doesn't want to write that much.

As an example, these are a few of the (negative!) votes I got in another icon comm. I think all of these votes are acceptable as they are constructive and try to give suggestions.
- I don't think the color compliments the icon very well, it lights the image up in the center but not much in the left corner

Question!

I have a small Netbook. Is there a way to view the icons full screen and one at a time? It's hard for me to tell what's what on some of them. Sorry, my eyes are going and I can only get so close to the screen. If this is the only way to view them, I will do my best. I am by no means a good or even fair Iconer and I just started using PhotoShop.

Here is the photobucket account that has all the icons and you can look at them individually on there by clicking on them. However they aren't in the same order so make a note of that when you vote.

If that doesn't work, let me know and I can try to find another way!
