...Well, as I am once again bored out of my mind, this seems like a fine time to fall back on the old standby so many people in this place seem to adhere to.
["Bored out of my mind" is an understatement. Metallic click of him flipping open his lighter, a pause while he lights up, and then another click at closing.]What is your world like

If Haven is the only surviving city, then obviously it is the only safe place to live in the world. More people means more power, and the more power a man can get the more he wants. Truly, a vicious cycle.
[He doesn't believe most of that, lol.]
We used to have trade routes and such with Haven, but as far as I know those were all shut down once Praxis came into power. The public ones, in any case.
[Wouldn't know for sure, he couldn't even tell you exactly when that happened. Besides, he's pretty much a black market sort of guy.]

[She knows not everyone is going to be "foolish" enough to go out in the middle of an invasion.]
I could not say what Baron Praxis was thinking, but I suppose a man in power--a tyrannical man, that is--would likely rely upon his own strength before possibly opening the city to other people and cities. To seclude a majority would help one maintain a grasp over the citizens, I suppose.

[Not that he could say that Spargus would be better. Kras, certainly, but Spargus is all sunburns and sand in the wrong places to him.]
Kras did have refugees, however. Military deserters, smuggled children, some scholars and the like. So obviously Praxis' tactics did not work on everyone.

If y'ever get the chance, don't go. Though I doubt y'd get the chance. Anyhow, s'flat, lotsa corn an' crops like that. Mostly corn though. Oh, an' wheat. The sunflower fields are nice, though. Pretty.
Not lotsa big cities, though, an' that's upsetting. I like the big buildings. Makes me feel like I'm not the only thing as tall as I am. Not th'point, though, anyhow. Lotsa farming communities an' small towns in Kansas.
People are nice, though.

[He pronounces this like Kaun-siss.]
You say that this...territory, I suppose, contained several cities of its own? That is moderately confusing.
[Lol what are states?]
You would have loved Praxis-era Haven, I think, if tall buildings are high on your interest list. Though I never saw it in-person myself, there was a palace so tall it required support towers to keep it upright; that would make anyone feel small.
...If you do not mind my asking, how tall are you that you would prefer to feel small?

An' nah, I don' mind. I actually get asked lots. I'm 'bout six foot eight. Last I checked, 'least. I shoulda stopped growin' by now, though. An', no, I don' play basketball.

As I have no idea what basket-ball is, I had no intention of asking whether you took part in playing it.
Although that is rather tall.
[Has he ever met anyone that tall? Sig isn't even that tall. Razer is one of the tallest people he knows, and he's still a good four or five inches shorter than Sal is claiming to be. Daaaamn.]
Do you dislike it? I would consider it a rather sharp...selling point, one could say.

And while we are in the habit of communicating--is there a particular reason you sound so curt today? Slightly moreso than usual, that is.

Every smart person eventually comes to Kras, anyway. Havenites don't know what they're missing. Seriously, who'd pass up an opportunity to come to Kras? Even after the ferrys stopped coming, people found a way... just need a little persuasion!

But of course! Most everyone with the opportunity comes around eventually.
[Dramatic sigh.]
Makers, Blitz, you are making me homesick.
