Well said. Another nasty little ethnic war on a planet full of them. The solution is never to choose one side but to expose the lies of both sides, or simply to live ones life and ignore fanatics as much as possible.

As an Israeli all I dream of is exactly what you suggested: of not being in the limelight of the whole world - just for a change. Of not having my country's actions examined as if we were the only super power in the Universe with the same people ignoring the deeds of our enemies as if they don't exist.
I have long stopped hoping for a fair attitude or rational side-taking by the onlookers. But I still hope the true proportions of this and other conflicts can be adequately perceived, leading to the only logical outcome - loss of interest.
