This is really beautiful, in a lighthearted sort of way. I really love how you portray Faramir and Bilbo moving on, despite how hard it can be, but never forgetting about those they love who have gone before. We could all learn something from their experiences. I'm especially impressed by your characterization of Bilbo - especially his eagerness and excitement in his quest for knowledge and the sharing of that knowledge - it's refreshing and moving to see him so alive, even when he is so old and weary from his years with the Ring.

Oh, that's just perfect! I can see Bilbo being just the sort of person Faramir might want to talk to, what with their shared love of books and adventures!

And I love that Boromir is such an avid riddler. What a clever idea! Really well done.

Yay! scholar!Faramir... *jumps up and down with joy* My favourite!!! And dear old Bilbo! :) Who would have thought of these two interacting? You did, and did it wonderfully!

I loved the story from the first lines to the last, it was very well-written and original! I especially liked the bittersweet air around it, and the way you make us see another face of Boromir... Lovely!

And of course, I really loved "the layers of legend" thing, as I like to call it - how Rivendell is a place-out-of-legends for Faramir, and in the same way is Gondor for Bilbo, and the way their own deeds become legendary adventures to put into stories... You did a great job with this, congratulations!
