Will you marry me? - The Proposal
Ninomiya Nino Kazunari was famished. He didn’t eat at all today, focusing to finish a project which was due today. Thank goodness, the project was completed without any problem so he could go home happy. He thought of stopping somewhere to eat before going home. But, he was too stingy to spend his money. Besides, his roommate had texted him earlier, pleading with him to have dinner together today. The man had prepared the meal. Nino just had to come home and eat with him.
The name of his roommate was Ohno Satoshi. Nino called him Ohchan. They had been living together for five years now. It began when Nino’s former roommate, Aiba Masaki, decided to live together with the love of his life, Sakurai Sho. Losing his roommate, Nino decided to search for a new apartment and that was when he saw a flyer posted by Ohno who was looking for a roommate. Nino decided to call the man and see the house. He loved the house and Ohno loved him so they happily started living together.
“Hello,”
Nino was startled when he saw the state of his living room. He was confused. Was this his house? Why did it look different? The light was dimmed and two candles were lighted on the table. In addition to that, a song was played. A romantic song.
“Hey, you’re finally home!”
Ohno’s cheerful voice greeted him. Nino looked at the man with a frown. The man was wearing a suit. Wow, this was weird! What was wrong with his roommate?
“Come. Let’s eat!”
As Nino was too stunned to say or do anything, he simply let Ohno lead him inside. Ohno brought him to the table. His favourite food, hamburger, was on it.
“Sit sit!” said Ohno excitedly, pulling the chair. With a confused look on his face, Nino took a seat. Ohno, then, sat on the opposite side.
“Are you okay, Ohchan?” asked Nino. “What are you doing?”
“Cooking for my favourite person,”
“Why?”
And, the weirdest thing happened. Ohno stood up once again and kneeled down in front of Nino. He took a box out of his pocket. With his free hand, he took Nino’s hand and then kissed it. He opened the box, revealing a ring.
“Ninomiya Kazunari, will you marry me?”
A/N: To clarify, Nino and Ohno were just roommate and they were not in a relationship. The reason why Ohno suddenly proposed to Nino will be explained in the next part. I hope this is not weird.
