Part 1
“It’s Sho…”
Aiba who was too occupied with his thoughts snapped out upon hearing Sho’s name. “What?”
“I said its Sho…” Jun repeated. “Toma said he’s in love with Sho…”
“Eh? But how- I mean…” Aiba tried to hide his flustered expression. “Really…”
“Is that it? Is it all you have to say?” Jun said in frustration.
Aiba looked back up to him “Wha- what do you mean?”
“Don’t you feel guilty or someting?”
“What?” Aiba frowned to Jun’s words. Why am I being blame when Toma’s was the one cheating on him? he thought. “Why should I?”
“Toma will be taken away from me and it’s all because of you!”
“Wha- what!?” Aiba’s eyes widened with surprise. “Jun, are- are you blaming me?”
“From what I see, it’s your fault…” Jun said nonchalantly.
“I don’t think- I don’t see why this is all my fault…” Aiba said softly trying to get to Jun’s conscience “… maybe it’s just a coincident that Toma decided that it’s Sho…” he tried to reason “… maybe you should’ve let him go so that both of you can have another chance with someone else…”
“Will you accept me if I let him go?” Jun suddenly asked catching Aiba off guard. Aiba didn’t notice when he made his move since Jun’s face was now practically inches away from his.
“What?” Aiba withdrew only to be followed by Jun and stopped as Jun placed his hands on Aiba’s shoulders.
“You heard me…” Jun said as he grasped Aiba’s shoulders to prevent him from moving further away. “Will you accept me if I let him go?”
“J- Jun, please… that’s out of the question…” Aiba tried to free himself but stopped as he realized that Jun won’t go further than just gripping his shoulders.
“Accept me or take Sho back with you. Decide now!” Jun said determinedly.
“You can’t do this to me. I’m not the one pushing Sho to him…” Aiba said with hint of pleading before realizing something. “Why are you so persistent about me and Sho anyway?” he looked into Jun’s eyes to see guilt. “He asked you to do this, didn’t he? I can’t believe this…” he rolled his eyes with annoyance assuming that his theory was right.
“If you weren’t so stubborn, none of this would’ve happen…” Jun said without moving a muscle.
“I might be a fool think that you actual might’ve wanted to sincerely apologize…” Aiba pushed Jun’s hands away and stood up.
“Where do you think you’re going?” Jun called. “We’re not finish yet…”
“I’m finish with you…” Aiba said as he reached his room. “Do what ever you want. I won’t bother to know…” he managed before disappearing into the room.
Jun frowned as he recalled his last conversation with Aiba. “Maybe I went too far with testing him…” he sighed. He found himself in front of Toma’s a few minutes after he left Aiba’s house. As he found the main door to the store open wide, he stepped inside to see a much compromised pose of Toma on top of Sho. WTH!? He thought as he grasped hard on Toma’s shoulder.
---
“Kazu, are you sure about all this?” Ohno said as he looked at Aiba’s seeping form through the rear-view mirror while handling the steering wheel. He then looked at Nino who was sitting in a passanger seat next to him. “Maybe it’s too-”
“This is our last resort, Toshi…” Nino cut Ohno words with his and folded his arms in front of his chest and sighed. He remembered when Jun called them saying that his plan had failed and how mad Aiba was because of that. He recalled how hard he had to think to get Aiba out of his room.
Both men arrived at Aiba’s house, half an hour after Jun left. Nino held Ohno’s hand from unlocking the door. “Wait…” he shook his head while frowning to think of something. “Jun said that he locked himself in his room, right?”
“Yeah, that’s why we have to get inside and get him out of there…”
“So, do you think that when you knock on his door…” Nino asked with hinted sarcasm “… he’ll gladly open it for you?”
“I don’t know… but we might as well try…”
“Why do you have to try to do something that’ll never work?” Nino sighed.
“You’ll never know until you try…” Ohno pouted.
Nino offered his hand to Ohno making the other raised his eyebrows with confusion. “Your cellphone…” Nino said. He typed something on the phone and sent it before giving it back to Ohno. Ohno watched as Nino squatted in front of the door and took out a piece of clothes and a bottle of liquid. He poured a small amount of the liquid on to the clothes before moving closer to the door and pressed the bell.
“What are you doing?” Ohno asked looking concern to the bottle of liquid Nino was holding previously “… and what’s that?”
“Plan C…” Nino said with hand still pressing on the doorbell.
“What plan C? I never heard of plan C…”
“I just thought about it while taking to Jun back then… now step aside and help me catch him later…” Nino explained as he stood readily in front of the door. The door opened a few seconds later, revealing Aiba’s form. Nino pulled him out of the house and swiftly cup his face with the clothes.
“Catch- uwah!” Ohno didn’t manage to finish his words as he hurriedly to catch the uncouscious aiba from falling on to the hard floor. “Kazu, what the-” he turned to Nino who was packing while struggling to handle Aiba’s dead weight.
“Hurry up and bring him to the car before anyone notice!”
“What do you use on him anyway?”
Nino heard Ohno asking, bringing him back to reality. He watched as Ohno took a peeked at Aiba again. “Nothing dangerous… just chloroform…” Ohno changed his glance to Nino upon hearing him saying that. “Keep your eyes on the road, Satoshi…”
---
Jun grasped hard on Toma’s shoulder. He pulled Toma off Sho before dragging him a few feets away. Sho sat up and fixed himself from his previous position and watched as both men whispering or more likely arguing in small voices.
“What are you doing with him!?” Jun exclaimed as he knew they were far enough from Sho’s hearing range.
“Nothing!” Toma responded with annoyance. He tried to get back to Sho only to be stopped by Jun.
“Don’t seem nothing to me…” Jun said as he gripped hard on Toma’s elbow.
“It’s part of the plan, ok…” Toma snapped as he pulled his hand free from Jun.
“Even if it’s necessary, which I highly doubt, aren’t you supposed to do that in Aiba-chan’s and MY presence…”
“It’s nothing, really… You don’t have to be so worked up…” Toma said as he leaned against the tree and looked around. “So where is he?” he asked knowing that Jun would know that he was talking about Aiba.
“Change of plan…” Jun sighed. “He’s more stubborn than I imagine…”
“Owh~ so…” Toma placed his fingers on his chin “… plan B?” he looked to Jun
“No, most likely C…”
“C? Never heard of it…” Toma shook his head.
“Ohno and Kazu are already on the road… its better if we get moving too…” Jun then looked at Sho who was looking down at his feet as he felt both of the men were watching him. “Have you given him the water yet?”
“Done…” Toma answered simply as he walked towards Sho with a smile. Jun let out a small sighed as he followed from behind.
---
Sho opened his eyes to find himself lying on his side, face to face with Aiba. Masaki? he thought as he closed his eyes before opening it again to make sure that he wasn’t dreaming. When he opened his eyes, he felt his head hurt a little but Aiba’s figure didn’t disappear. He reached out to caress Aiba’s cheek to feel him for real when Aiba suddenly shifted and pushed him to lie on his back before crawling on top of him. “Ma- Masaki…?”
Sho realized that Aiba’s eyes were still closed but his face had moved closer to him until he felt Aiba’s breath on his own face. He grasped Aiba’s shoulders to prevent him from going further down. “Masaki…” he called as he shook he body above him lightly “… wake up…” but Aiba didn’t move except for getting further down to his lips. He then turned their bodies swiftly so that he was now on top. The movement shocked Aiba out of his slumber.
Aiba opened his eyes just in time to catch Sho in action. “Sh- Sho?” he managed to let out a word as his eyes widened when he found Sho straddling him. “Wha- what are you doing?”
“Ah~ sorry, I was just-”
“Get off me!” Aiba pushed Sho off him before the lad could finish his explaination causing him to fall from the bed.
“What the hell was that for!?” Sho snapped as he felt the pain throughout his body. He stood up and wiped off the dust from his shirt and massaged his aching butt. “It hurts…”
“What were you doing on top of me?” Aiba withdrew against the headrest as Sho stood up.
“You’re the one who wanted to kiss me…” Sho continued. “I was just-”
“Wha- what!?” Aiba paused a little before looking to Sho with flustered look on his face. “You- You’re lying! I wouldn’t-” Aiba tried to defend himself denying the fact that he did dreamt of that before he woke up.
“Whatever! We have other things to worry about…” Sho said as he looked around the room.
“Where are we?” Aiba asked as he finally grasped of the situation. He frowned as he looked around the dim-lighted room.
“How should I know?” Sho answered in frustration. He walked to the door and grasped the doorknob only to find that it’s locked. He shook the door and heard a chained sound from the outside. “The door won’t open. It’s metal so its waste of energy to try to break it down…” he said as he looked around the room.
Sho remembered Jun had said something about bringing him back to Nino’s house. But what could possibly happen when I feel asleep in the car? Are those two behind all this? Sho thought.
“So?” Aiba asked impatiently as he found Sho was too occupied with his own thoughts.
“I think we’re in some kind of basement here… there’s no source of light except for that…” he pointed to the light bulb hanging in the middle of the room. “We can’t even tell whether its day or night in here… there’s nothing we can do…” he walked to the bed and lied on it, staring at the wooden ceiling.
---
“Are you sure this gonna work out?” Ohno said as he and Nino settled in the living room.
“It has to…” Nino said with eyes locked on the screen.
“How can you play video games in the middle of this?”
“This is how I calm myself…” Nino said without looking at Ohno. He frowned a little before continuing. “Stop bugging me. Go bake a cake or something…”
“Cant. Jun’s using the kitchen…” Ohno said as he leaned back to the couch. His eyes followed Nino’s character in the game as it move back and forward.
“What the hell are those two doing in the kitchen anyway? I hope not something dirty coz I promise Tanaka-san that we’ll keep everything in this place in order before returning it back…” Nino managed as he leveled up before focusing back on the game.
“We’re not doing anything improper…” Toma said as he slumped down on the couch beside Ohno. “Jun’s trying to make dinner…”
“I better go and help…” Ohno said as he stood up and went to the kitchen.
---
“Are you saying that we have to wait?” Aiba asked as he started to feel uneasy about the whole thing. He walked to the door and started banging on it. “Hey!! Is anyone there!? Let me out of here!!!” he stopped but when he received nothing, he “Come on!!!” he kicked the door but ended up winching painfully on the floor, holding his toe.
“Someone’s definitely behind this… maybe-” Sho stopped to think before continuing “… Jun and Toma…” he said quietly that can only be heard by himself.
“… and why are you so calm about this?” Aiba shouted as Sho didn’t even pay attention to him. “Don’t tell me you plan all this…”
“Are you blaming me?” Sho sat up to look at Aiba. Aiba looked away as he felt Sho looking at him intently. “Why would I want to lock myself up in a basement in God knows where!?”
“Who knows!? Maybe you’re only pretending. You just want to see how I reacted if being locked up with you…” Aiba’s voice cracked a little as he tried to hold back his tears.
“What…?” Sho looked at Aiba in disbelieve. “Masaki, do you really think that I’m that sort of person…?”
“Stop calling me, Masaki!!” Aiba suddenly shouted. “If it wasn’t for you I wouldn’t ended up in here!! My life wouldn’t even end up miserable!!” tears that have been threatening to get free, flew down his cheeks. He wiped it off roughly before glaring at Sho.
“What are you talking about?”
“Why do you come back, Sho?” Aiba started sobbing. He squatted down in front of the door burying his face in between his knees. “Haven’t you hurt me enough?”
Sho cant barely heard Aiba due to the sobbing. “I- I’m sorry, Ma- Aiba…” Sho kneeled in front of Aiba and touching his shoulders gently in order to calm him. “I didn’t know that my return would cause you so much pain…”
“Why?” Aiba raised his head to look at Sho right into his eyes. “Tell me, why you come back…?”
Aiba sounded more like pleading than asking to Sho. He pulled Aiba to his feet slowly as he thought of his answer. “I- I don’t know…” was the best he could think of. He looked down before continuing. “I don’t think that it’ll hurt you this much…”
“Do you love me, Sho?” Aiba suddenly asked causing Sho to look back up. The question he once threw to the guy was thrown back at him.
“I- well I-” Sho stuttered.
“Do you!?”
“I do…” he said quietly as if didn’t want Aiba to hear him.
“If you love me, you wouldn’t have left me!!” Aiba exclaimed as he gripped hard on Sho’s collar and pushed him against the wall causing the frame hanging beside the door to fall down with a loud crash. Sho’s eyes widened with the sudden outburst as he wasn’t expecting Aiba to snap like that. Aiba was so furious he didn’t even realize that he was chocking him in the process.
---
“Need help?” Ohno asked as soon as he entered the kitchen. Jun glance over his shoulder and frowned as he saw Ohno.
“That stupid Toma really left…” Jun said quietly before smiling at Ohno. “That’s ok. I’m almost finish anyway… nothing fancy coz there’s nothing much in this place…”
“ok, then…” Ohno said as he took a seat at the dining table.
“Are they gonna be fine down there?” Jun looked at the metal door connecting the kitchen and the basement Sho and Aiba was currently in. Ohno was about to answer when they heard a crashing sound coming from the room. The two exchanged glances before running over to open the door, afraid of something bad might be happening.
---
“Ma- Masaki, please…” Sho tried to free himself as he felt the pain on his throat and behind his head due to the contact with the wall. He pushed Aiba only to be held back.
“Why did you left!?” Aiba cried out. “Tell me!!”
“Do you think I left you on purpose!?” Sho shouted as he knew he won’t win against one enraged Aiba. “You wouldn’t even let me explain!”
“What more can you explain!?” Aiba shouted back.
“I had to do that to save your damn life, damn it!” Sho blurted out and at the same time the door was pulled open. Jun and Ohno appeared with worried look on their faces and just in time to hear Sho’s last words.
“Are you guys alright?” Ohno asked after a few seconds of silence. Sho took the chance to free himself from Aiba and push Ohno aside before storming out. He bumped into Jun on his way out but managed to get away.
Aiba watched as Sho disappeared before slumping down on the floor trying to digest the information he just received. “What is he talking about?” he asked looking up to Ohno. “What he’d done?”
Ohno turned to Jun as if telling him to explain everything to Aiba. Jun pulled Aiba up and seated him on the couch before taking his place beside him. Jun started to explain everything from the day Sho left Aiba at the cabin until his meeting with Sho at the hospital and Ohno when he went abroad. “He told us not to tell you coz he wanted to be the one to explain everything…” Ohno said in the end.
“I’m sorry…” Jun managed but Aiba had already left the room.
