A car stopped in front of the bakery and a figure climbed out. “Thank you very much…” he bowed thankfully.
“You’re welcome. My wife’s a huge fan of yours…” the driver smiled before drove off.
Ohno smiled and waved until the car disappeared. One of the advantages of being popular, a free ride, he told himself. Then, he turned to the bakery before looking down to his watch. “A few minutes before closing. I hope Aiba had done something today…” he mumbled as he stepped inside the building.
---
Sho parked his car in front of the bakery and waited for Aiba to come out. He realized his phone was dead only when he decided to call him half an hour later. He stepped out off the car and went inside the bakery from the back door to find Aiba. He peeked inside the kitchen and saw someone squatting in front of the oven.
“Excuse me… Ohno-san?” he said as the man turned to face him.
“Sho-san?” Ohno looked surprise to see Sho. “What are you doing here?”
“Have you seen Masaki? I’ve waited for about half an hour now”
“They said he went out with Matsumoto-san a few hours ago…” he said as he went back to his work.
“He’s out with Masumoto!?” Sho’s voice was slightly higher than usual.
“Yes…” Ohno said without looking at him.
“Where to?” he watched as Ohno raised his shoulders. “Well thanks, I’ve gotta go…”
Ohno tilted his head and watched as Sho rushed outside before resuming what he was doing before Sho showed up.
---
Nino looked at the girl in front of him in disbelieved. What had Jun done to her to make her holding a grudge against him? How much does she now about his plans against Matsumoto Yukihiro? And what exactly she wants from him to make her approached him first?
As if she can hear Nino’s thought, she laughed. “Are you thinking why I need you? Simple…” She told him her whole plan and he nodded in agreement.
---
Jun stopped in front of a motel and dragged Aiba out of his car. He didn’t want to risk anything by going to some expensive hotel but he noticed the look the receptionist gave him when he checked in with Aiba unconciusly leaning against him.
“Too much drink and I don’t know where he lives…” he lied. The receptionist smiled and nodded understandably as she handed him the key. “Thank you” he managed before gragging Aiba to the room.
He dropped Aiba on the bed and tied his hands onto the headrest to avoid him from escape if he regained his conciuosness. He sat on the couch across the bed catching his breath while looking at Aiba from head to toe. Finally he had Aiba where he wanted him. He grabbed a bottle of liquor available in the refrigerator and gulped down to find courage to resume what he intended to do next.
He went closer to Aiba and sat at the edge of the bed. His eyes stripped Aiba piece by piece before he decided to do it for real. He caressed Aiba’s face gently and touched his lips. If only you know how much this lips cause me to crave for you, Jun thought as he leaned down and unbutton Aiba’s shirt. I’m gonna make you mine tonight Aiba. He kissed the exposed flesh lightly as he moving upward.
---
Sho had been driving around the town in search of Aiba for a few hours now and it’s almost midnight. “Where could he be?” he complained as his eyed around the place while driving. “Didn’t I say clearly to wait for me?”
He didn’t know why but his heart told him something bad was going to happen to Aiba. Maybe he was just a little overreacted with the whole situation. He just felt he had to find Aiba as soon as possible.
As his mind filled with something else, Sho missed the red traffic light and run over another car in front of him. He stepped on break but it was too late. He barely heard the honk as his mind was too occupied on finding Aiba.
“Watch where you’re going, man!” a man knock his window. He climbed out of his car and to apologize to the man when he saw a figure coming out from a building across the street. Aiba? What is he doing in a motel? He was about to call Aiba when he saw another man running after Aiba. He watched as Aiba tried to push the man away when suddenly a figure blocking his view.
“I’m sorry, I’ll pay everything. Just excuse me…” he tried to cross the street to get to Aiba.
“You’re not getting away…” the man said as he grabbed Sho by the wrist. “We’re settling this now…”
“I really got to go now…” he tried to free himself but seeing the man refused to let him go and looking at him intensedly, he shoved his wallet to him. “Take whatever you want… just let me go.”
Upon seeing the amount of money in the wallet, the man let him go, took all the cash and threw the wallet back to his face. “Nice doing business with you…” he said before drove off. Sho frowned at the man before remembering something. Aiba! He turned his face to the scene and saw the man next to Aiba was Matsumoto Jun. He quickened his steps as he saw Aiba was leaning against Matsumoto.
---
Jun stopped at the counter to return the key and while Aiba tried to walk by himself out of the motel before falling down. Jun quickly went to help him only to be pushed away by Aiba.
“Don’t touch me…” he said weakly but hinted with anger. He didn’t bother to look at the person he was talking to.
“Aiba-chan, don’t be like this… let me help y-” Jun begged reaching for Aiba’s hand.
“NO!” Aiba managed a shout and pushed Jun’s hand away. “Leave me alone!”
Jun was practically walking away from Aiba when he heard loud thump behind him. He turned around and saw Aiba winced painfully on the floor. “That’s it!” Jun said as he went to Aiba grasped Aiba’s hand and slung around his shoulder. “You can scream all you want… just stop refusing me…” he pressed his words. Aiba was too exhausted to reject him anymore. He followed quietly as Jun dragged him to his car.
“Masaki?”
Both head turned to the same direction; the origin of the voice. Sho was standing there looking at both of them in disbelieved. Aiba looked back in fear while Jun looked in surprise. Aiba then shifted to free himself from Jun and tried to walk to Sho.
Sho just froze in his place looking at Aiba who was trying hard to walk to him. “What’s wrong with you?” he asked looking at Aiba’s leg.
“Sho-chan… I-” Aiba managed before loosing control of his body.
“MASAKI!!”
“AIBA!!”
Sho and Jun shouted in unison as Aiba fell unconscious in the floor.
---
“What do you mean you didn’t know it was her?” Nino snapped. “Didn’t I tell you to find out who the buyer was before resuming anything?” he massaged his forehead as he leaned against the wall talking to the phone.
“But Ninomiya-san, we do find out the buyer but it’s not her. Either she also uses an alias or someone else behind it. However, there’s no details whatsoever regarding Tanaka Co. and-”
“Wait…” Nino cut when he felt his backpocket vibrated. He took out his cell and stard at the screen. “I’ll get back to you later…” he said as he hung up on the man he was currently talking. He looked at his blinking cell and the name appeared on it. Satoshi. He didn’t remember having a friend name Satoshi. He certainly didn’t put the name so intimately. After thinking about it a few minutes, he rejected the call. But the caller seemed determined about wanting to talk to Nino when he called him again and again.
“What!?” Nino gave up and he answered the call.
“Kazu?” a sweet voice greeted his ear. Only a few in this world called him Kazu. Abd the one should be using this tone was in a coma at the hospital. Beside the voice seemed to belong to a male.
“Who the hell are you and how do you get my number?” he asked irritatedly.
“Ah~ sorry. I just took it when you’re asleep.”
“Who are you?” Nino asked again since the caller didn’t seem to remember the other question.
“Satoshi… Ohno Satoshi…” the silent made Ohno continued “I was with you at the hospital before…”
Nino blushed as he recalled the incident happen between them in the hospital. “What do you want?” he tried to maintain his cold tone.
“I’m in front of your house now and I brought something-”
“What!?” Nino walked over to his window and peeked behind his curtain. He saw Ohno standing in front of his door looking down to his feet. He withdrew when Ohno looked up at the window. “Go home. I’m no mood for a visitor…” he said and hung up. Despite his refusal, his body seemed to betraye him as he walked to the door and opened it.
“Hello~” Ohno greeted cheerfully as he raised a plastic bag in his hand “I brought us supper… can I… come in?” he asked timidly. Nino stepped aside to give room to Ohno and he bounced in happily. “I knew you’d be home…”
“What bring you here, Ohno-san?” Nino leaned against the wall and just watched as Ohno brought out the content of the plastic bag and placed it on the table “… and what’s with you calling me Kazu. Its not that we’re close or something…”
“I want us to be closer…” Ohno said without looking at him. He stopped on what he was doing and walked closer to Nino. Nino who was aware of the situation stepped back only to be stopped by hands on his waist.
---
Sho waited anxiously outside the room. His head looked up to the room everytime he heard a sound, hoping that someone might come out to tell him that Aiba was fine.
“MASAKI!!” he yelled as he went forward to catch Aiba but he was too late. Aiba fell right onto the hard tiles in front of the motel. He watched as Jun bended forward to lift Aiba. “Don’t touch him!” he shouted.
He cowered in front of Aiba and cushioned his head with his lap before looking up to Jun. “What’ve you done to him?” he stopped and looked at the building in front of them “… you son of a b****!!” he somehow getting the rough idea.
“I-” Just said as he stroked his hair with his fingers while looking at one unconscious Aiba. “I don’t think this is the right time to discuss this… Aiba-”
“If something happen to him, I swear …” Sho said as he lifted Aiba slowly to his car. He managed to look to Jun one last time before he drove off and saw he looked back in guilty.
His thread of memory was broken as he heard shouting in the room. He didn’t have to listen twice to recognize Aiba’s voice when he heard one. He stood abruptly and went inside the room. The first thing he saw when he entered the room was a pillow lying in front of the door and broken glasses at the corner of the room which he assumed was a vase. He looked up to Aiba who was struggling on the bed when anyone tried to touch him. The nurses were already backing off while the doctor tried to convince him that he’s here to help.
“No, don’t touch me!” Aiba pushed the doctor away. He grasped tightly to the bed sheet as his eyes filled with tears.
“What’s wrong with him?” Sho asked one of the nurses.
The nurse shook her head sadly and said “he suddenly like this when he wakes up. He didn’t let anyone touch him, not even the doctor.” He watched as the nurses made their way out of the room.
Sho frowned as he looked as Aiba resisting the doctor. “Let me try…” he said. The doctor nodded and stepped aside to give room to Sho.
“Masaki…” Sho called as he went closer to Aiba slowly. He can see Aiba’s body was slightly trembling now that he was closer. “It’s me, Sho-chan…” he reached out his hand but stopped when Aiba withdrew from him.
“No!” Aiba said firmly. His hands were still clinging to the sheet as if it was his life support while his eyes were closed. Tears still fell down his cheek with him wiping it away roughly several times.
Even though Sho felt his heart was hurt by Aiba’s action, he tried to ignore it since he knew something was wrong with Aiba. “What’s wrong, Masaki… tell me…” he said softly and tried to touch him again.
“Don’t touch me!” he pushed Sho away, harder this time. But Sho maintained on his place as he managed to grip Aiba’s shoulders and pulled him into a hug. “Let go… let me go…” Aiba fight back.
“Masaki, listen to me…” Sho tightened his embraced “It’s me… Sho…” when he felt Aiba was showing no sign to calm down, he freed him and took his face to face him. “MASAKI!!”
Aiba opened his eyes slowly and looked at the man in front of him. “Sho-chan? It’s you… it’s really you…” he cried while Sho held him close to his chest.
In the midst of the quarrel, Sho saw the doctor preparing something. “Is that nessesary?” he asked the doctor.
“I’m afraid so…” the doctor said as he pulled up Aiba’s sleeve and jabbed the needle into his skin. Aiba didn’t seem to be bother with the shot since he was comfortably leaning against Sho. Sho felt Aiba slowly drifted to sleep as his breathing went evenly. He placed Aiba on the bed gently before catching up to the doctor.
“What’s wrong with him, doc?”
“Fortunately we managed to examine him before he woke up. There’re several bruises on his body and as you can see his face.”
“What’s that suppose to mean?” Sho asked, frowning.
“Best if you heard from him… I don’t wanna make any theory regarding this matter…”
The doctor looked as if he was hiding something so Sho decided to ask in details. “Just tell me the truth.”
“I’m afraid that the bruises were resulted from sexual abuse…”
Sho eyes widened to the fact. His mind replayed the scene in front of the motel repeatedly. Now that he thought back, Aiba seemed to be drag by Jun instead of leaning to him. He turned back to the room and decided to stay with Aiba until he woke up.
