Music. Russian. Russian music.

I'm looking for songs sung in Russian, in an attempt to beef up my very sad Russian skills and get a feeling for how the language sounds. I am not picky. The lyrics just have to be in Russian. If you can include the lyrics with some kind of English translation too (transliterated or cyrillic or both are good too) I'd really, really like that. I ( Read more... )

Are you looking only for Тату (Tatu) songs or other russian music will be OK? I have some and they sound much better then tatu.

The songs that ORIGA sings for the Ghost in the Shell TV show are mostly in Russian, since that's her language. So, uh, do you mind Savefile instead? We have Inner Universe and Rise here. Since the show is/was fairly popular, the lyrics in romanized Russian and English are here and here on AnimeLyrics, and the JIS text-only lyrics actually include the Cyrillic for some reason.

...it's funny, too, because we just went through all our music a few weeks ago trying to burn all the Russian language stuff to CD for a local friend, and this was all we had besides some Ukrainian folksong and... The Hymn To Red October. So.

Amazing! Awesome! I will definately download those! If you're still looking, I found these live mp3s of the band Splean/Splin, which are in Russian... the whole page is in Russian so you might want to translate. I would reccomend 'Prikhodi', 'Riki-Tiki-Tavi' and 'Blokada' though (the only songs I've been able to download so far).

For some reason this post seems to attract a lot of random comments from strangers. :D Hi I'm Kari. How'd you find me?
