Dreams

I know I dream. I remember that I have dreamt, but I can't remember what my dreams are.  Upon waking I have fleeting visions behind my eyelids but I can't remember them like I used to. I miss that anticipation upon waking to recall the random ramblings of my subconcious inner monologue (or massive theatre production as dreams used to be ( Read more... )

I try to either tell someone about it as soon as I can or think about what I would say if I were going to tell someone about it. Generally if I can frame it as an explanation to someone else I can keep a hold of it.

Though admittedly I have been failing utterly at writing down my dreams lately.

I think the attempt to hold onto the narrative aspect of the dream is what does it.

Otherwise it ends up being all "there was a train, but first it was a giant blue crystal, and you were there, but you weren't you, and I think there was a baby ostrich somewhere in there but I don't quite remember. Oh! and it all happened at work, except if work were like the set of a western in like, old Hollywood!"

Up
