Live Report : July 29th Projekt Revolution Tour 2004 @ Mansfield, MA
The show
Hi,
I’m back home since a week now. Exactly a week before, I was asleep and I wasn’t able to sleep ‘coz we’ve just came back from the show. We’re watching with Dawn, Jamie, and Michi, Linkin Park performing at Rock Am Ring Fest 2004. The show was broadcasted on MTV2 at 3.00 am the 30th of july. The time seems to go on faster when we ‘ve some awesome moment. Hum lots of things to say, how could I begin. Ok I won’t talk about Meet’n’Greeet ‘coz I’ve ever done a review. I’ll talk about all the others things : the roadtrip ,the second stage, the main stage and especially about Korn and Linkin Park…
We left Michi’s house @ 12.00 pm. We made the last check : Tickets ok, Identity card ok, DVD of BTH ok, LPU card ok.. We picked up Jamie at her house. We take the highway, and … (you’ll ask what the fuck with her, why she’s gonna talk about that, won’t you ;) ) anyways we missed 3 times the exit and we were lost but anyways finally we found out the park drive.
It was so huge. I didn’t see the entrance, anyways we came in and went directly to the Mashing Shoop Bouth Stand. I met Crystal there. She’s the LPU admin who was here. I helped a bit Crystal distributing some stickers and program to the crowd. I stayed near the second stage in order to see Downset, Funeral for a friend… and I discovered No Warning. Those guys are definitly amaze. They kicked my ass. I didn’t know them before but I was falling in love with their sound. Everyone’s having a fucking good time with the second stage. The atmosphere of the american festival are so different of the european one like Rock Am ring or Eurockeene (a french one). I mean everyone enjoyed the show but nobody jumped you know. Anyways, I saw Jonathan Davis (himself he he) who was watching the Downset ‘s show. He was so quiet right in the middle of the crowd. Nobody’s recognized him.
Anyways, I went to the main stage area ‘coz the shows began @ 4.00 pm : Less than Jake, The used, Snoop, Korn and Linkin Park will play there.
Less Than Jake : I knew the name of the band but I never heard them before. It was cool. The man who played guitar came in the crowd during a song and jumped with all of us.. It was cool. Ok Ok there were not too much ppl but anyways J.
My seat was at the 24th row on the left of the stage. I saw the show pretty well. Michi and Jamie have taken two tix : a pit tix and a second row tix in the same section than me. Dawn was in the second row but in the right of the stage. After Less Than Jake, Michi and Jamie gave us their tix. Woo hoo, so Dawn and I were together in 2 meters of the stage for the rest of the shows J
The Used : I didn’t like them so much even the singer Bert was definitly a show man. I think it was to close to Nirvana .. As I’m a fan of Nirvana their show disturbed me a bit you know.
Snoop : I didn’t see the whole show ‘coz I had to go to the meet up point for Meet’n’Greets. Snoop was/is/ and will be always himself … he smoked on stage and his father was preparing his “pick him up” LOL.
Korn : OMFG Korn !! I missed them @ Rock Am Ring in june ‚coz I was a bit sick. I was so exited to be able to see them. I missed the first 15 minutes of the show ‘coz I was meeting the guys :D.. Anyways, they were amazing. They played all of their known songs like ADIDAS.. When they played An Antoher Brick in the Wall (by the Pink Floyd) and One (by Metallica) … OMG OMG we (dawn and I ) were so crazy. We jumped everywhere, sang so loud… one word : SPLENDID !! The lighting effect was beautiful.. I took lots of picture of it.
Anyways, the set of Korn finished. We were so wet with Dawn. I didn’t realize that I met Linkin Park few minutes before. I was like .. My nerves breakdown a bit I meant I was there.. I met the guys.. I spent an amazing time with my lil crazy Dawn… It was too much for me you know. Anyways, we took some rest and a DJ came on stagewith a urbanbreaker. They played Rage Against the Machine. All the Americain beside us looked at us like if we were alien you know. We were singing louder as we could on KILLING IN THE NAME.. “Come on...Fuck you, I won't do what ya tell me... Fuck you, I won't do what ya tell me... Fuck you, I won't do what ya tell me... Fuck you, I won't do what ya tell me...Mutha Fuckerrrr” Oups sorry .. I’m reminding this amaze moment. Ok you knew now how the american guys beside us was looking at us. It was funny.
Hum Hum sorry.. The light switched off. The huge sheet Projekt Revolution were lighted up. We could hear Chaz who was moaning behind the huge sheet, we saw his shade. The sheet felt down and the show began.. 1h30 of madness !! The set was the same as the one they played during the european fest in june .. they added Figure.09 to the set :D. The American (at mansfield) was less crazy than eurpean crowd. The it was very small maybe only 150 ppl or 200 ppl were on. As I said before I was very close to the stage maybe 2 meters maybe less. I was in front of Brad the most of the time even if Chester and Mike spent a lot of time in front of us :D. PERFECT !! We drawed attention of ourself with Dawn ‘coz we were singing all the songs and we were jumping all the time. The American people are more quiet than us when they are terraced. Their Intro of each song were less loud, less strong, less ‘’metal’’ than the one during the RaR fest or DL Fest. The cohesion with the crowd was definitly awesome. When Mike sat behind the piano for Breaking The habit it was the most emotionnal moment of the show. All the light switched off and only Mike and Chester were lighted up. I lost my voice during the medley, he he , and I cried a lot during runaway (for breaking the habit too ;) ). I called Niva during BTH to share this moment with her … she could tell you a bit about the show :D. I was a bit dissapointed ‘coz nodoby ‘s known Wish. I was the only one who’s singing with Chester … even Dawn didn’t know the song. The last song .. 1StpKloser.. We were totally insane like everybody in the house !! The bridge was sang by mister Jonathan Davis himself. Chester introduced John like that : “And now I wanna to introduce you a frinds of us .. He’s a bit shy.. Ladies and Gentleman.. Mister Jonathan Davis”.. I was like OMG OMG OMG !! He made me cry.. The fireworks closed the shows after 1h30 of bouncing and screaming and singing… Damn I was totally down. Rob left the stage so quickly but all the others took their time and held some hands. They threw some stuff for the crowd … he he I get a cap bottle throw by mike. At the end of the show he was just in front of us. The crowd was insane really. He threw water to us just when I was taking a pic of him with my cell phone. My cell phone was so wet !! He looked at me He was like sorry.. and after threw the cap of the bottle of water, I get it .. He smiled to me and went to the backstage. Like hell a cap bottle could make up with my wet cellphone.. but right there at this moment my teenie side was beaming.
Did I forget something ? Oh yeah .. Mike was on the pit for In The end I guess (I have some problem to remind) and Chaz for Place for my Head.
During the show, Brad laughed a lot to Dawn and Myself. Chester recognize us too and Mike too. I scared us just before during Meet’n’Greet so ;). I’m so sorry for my english but I relived all this moment with you. *dry my tears*

The Meet'n'Greet
Finally I got my first fan experience into Meet’n’Greet when I saw LP for their Projekt Revolution 2004 @ Mansfield,MA.
I met some special person @ Mansfield during this meet’n’greet : Grant and Dawn. Furtunatly for me, I was with them during the waiting queue. Dawn is my new lil crazy partner in crime. She went from for 4 shows of PR04. She’s so dedicated really. We are the two crazy european LPUer for this MG. Grant and Dawn are belonging to LPST. Grant is a lil LPSTer of 13 yo, he’s so adorable really. It was his second MG and it was her 8th MG. Anyways, we waited together they tryed to relax me .. they succeed pretty well I sitck lots of sitcker on Grant .. it was just for relaxing It was so funny. Anyways, we tryed to be at the end of the line, we succeed .. only 5 ppl after us . We made a great job really
I was relaxed .. I was thinking about calm down hun .. it'll be mike on first don't forget to give him letter and chaz the last .. I was trying to prepare myself you know.. I’m a chazzy girl Grant came on the tent. I folowed him. Damn Chaz was the first one. I was totally stressed and impressed. I lost my voice and my english too.. hum hum poor lil frenchie I know. I try to take a pic of him with my cell phone. I get it (the only one of my MG 'coz all the others didn't come out). Anyways, I was in front of chaz and i was like ‘hum .. ok .. hum.. ok..’ you know, i couldn't talk to him awwww .. The security guy said next .. and I SAID : AH NON !!! it's french .. it's like oh no .. so loud !! Chester laughed and looked at me with a huge smile. I was like totally lost.. I gave him me BTH DVD i forget gave him the silver pen. He said :
Chaz : you're ok ?
Me : humm .. no *with a big smile* ok ok .. I knew i won't be able to speak with you .. that's why i wrote you a letter..
Chaz : for me ? or the whole band ?
Me : no for you i think you're the one able to understand whant i'm talking about in the letter ..
He was like oh thanks and good show. I was in front of Rob .. I gave him the silver pen and ask him to sign with it .. he smiled and said yes sure ..Rob is so shy but so cute really. Rob gave the dvd and the pen to brad .. the next one .. Brad didn't care about the pen .. sign the dvd and throw it to Joe .. without a look or a smile .. Grrrr.. he was awful Grrr bad brad !!
Anyways i was a bit scared by Joe .. but as Grant stayed a bit more with feenux Joe singed my dvd with the worng pen (stupid joe) and looked at me and smiled i took my courage and spoke to him.
Me : Hi, I was you in RaR Fest in june .. Thanks for the show ..
Joe : You were in germany ?
Me : yeah .. it was my first lp show it was my bday ..
Joe : aw.. awesome .. where do you come from
Me : France ..
Joe : Aw what a fan !! *with a big smile*
Brad : Oh .. she's talking now ?? *stupid brad*
Me : Yeah.. she's talking when a guy is a bit polite ... and look at me when i try to speak to him *bad look*
And then i was like OMG I yelled at brad .. I realised it after you know. But that the real Yann, I’m talking hard everyhwere, everytime . He looked at me and smiled .. joe Laughed a lot. And brad said : it's ok don't worry 'coz he saw that i was felling a bit bad :/ Joe gave the DVD to Feenux. Fee gonna signed with his black pen .. and then I screamed NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO .. hum hum it was a little no I swear ladies.. everyone stop what he was doing .. Mike looked at me he was the last one .. he laughed a lot and feenux .. throw his pen .

He hold his hand .. i didn't react i was lost in his eyes *thud thud and thud again* He took my hand with his two hands and shaked it.
Mike : Whaou .. Thanks for your support .. You're an amazing fan I mean You cross the ocean .. It means a lot for us and i was so glad to see foreign fan in PR04 really

I left him ..I went out the tent.. grant was there. I was shaking all my body.I couldn’t talk no more. Grant huged me tightly, he was so nice, really.
I can't beleive it. I'm so upset coz i didn't manage to talk to chester .. as long as i want but I think i spent btw 4/5 minutes with them. It's quiet long compare to some others. It was my first MG ..
During the show we were @ maybe 2 meters of the stage, Brad smiles a lot to me. I was in front of him. Mike saw us too.. Ok we were the two girlies bouncing everywhere and singing all the time. At the end of the show Mike throw water you know, and I was taking a pic of him with my cell phone. My phone was wet. Mike looked at me he was like sorry.. MY PHONE WAS WET ! Damn .. anyways then he throw the cap bottle and I got it. He looked at me with a huge smile and left the stage. Joe throw a towel if I remembered well.. and make a wave to us. Joe was nice really. It was great to see that the guys remembered me. They saw lots of fan you know.. ok not lots of fan yelled at them or scream during mg ( hum hum ) but it’s cool they remember me at least during the show. I got some Pics where chester was pointing dawn and me, or some where mike looked straigt to the camera..

I left him ..I went out the tent.. grant was there. I was shaking all my body.I couldn’t talk no more. Grant huged me tightly, he was so nice, really.
I can't beleive it. I'm so upset coz i didn't manage to talk to chester .. as long as i want but I think i spent btw 4/5 minutes with them. It's quiet long compare to some others. It was my first MG ..
During the show we were @ maybe 2 meters of the stage, Brad smiles a lot to me. I was in front of him. Mike saw us too.. Ok we were the two girlies bouncing everywhere and singing all the time. At the end of the show Mike throw water you know, and I was taking a pic of him with my cell phone. My phone was wet. Mike looked at me he was like sorry.. MY PHONE WAS WET ! Damn .. anyways then he throw the cap bottle and I got it. He looked at me with a huge smile and left the stage. Joe throw a towel if I remembered well.. and make a wave to us. Joe was nice really. It was great to see that the guys remembered me. They saw lots of fan you know.. ok not lots of fan yelled at them or scream during mg ( hum hum ) but it’s cool they remember me at least during the show. I got some Pics where chester was pointing dawn and me, or some where mike looked straigt to the camera..
