I'm back at home after a crazy day at Strasbourg for the Wrestlemania Revenge Night. We went the whole day at this town, enjoying some hanging out on the afternoon in the middle of the historic centre with Matt's uncle. We're back home since this this afternoon and we're leaving tomorrow morning for two weeks of vacation at Matt's parents.. before that I couldn't leave without a WWE review for my girls
amygirl and
lpili13 who are addicted to WWE as me..
Enjoy
The show card was interesting, a french website posted the two most interesting match it was a street fight between the hardy's borther, and an handicap match as main event with HHH team up the Undertaker against the Legacy. I was kinda suspicious about that because it was a ECW/Smackdown show so some Raw men's in this show was strange for me.. anyways.
We arrived at the venue, we were sitted at the 4th row right beside the ramp barricade where the wrestlers arrived. That was a pure crazy spot. We had an amazing view of the arrival and the ring. That was awesome. The atmosfer was less electric than paris in September. People were less supportive, but the show was cool.
Anyways 8.30 pm sharp, they switch of the light and Justin arrived on the ring by clapping hands of the fans of both side of the ramp. EVERYONE stand up to welcome the presenter for the night. We had 7 games for this show (winners in italic):
1 - Evan Bourne vs The Kid
2 - Finlay vs Mark Henry
3 - Nathalia, Maryse, Katie Lea vs Bella twins, Gail Kim
4 - Shelton Benjamin Vs MVP -- USA Title
5 - Jack Swagger Vs Christian -- ECW Title
6 - Matt Hardy vs Jeff Hardy -- Street Fight Match
7 - HHH & The Undertaker vs The Legacy -- Handicap Match
Honnestly the Diva's match and the ECW Title Match were that boring and are not even good enough for me for a lil sum up.
- 1 - Bourne vs The Kid :
To be honnest this match was not that exciting... but Evan is amazing. He's a flying wrestler and that's impressive. The Kid made me think about Bret Hart. Actually, Bret is his trainer. This young wrestler will become a big one in few years.. Small words of Matt :"Damn they should not wear a balck G-string under a pink boxer" .. my man is the best one. He made me laugh.
- 2 - Finlay vs Mark Henry :
The first note fo this Irish sound entrance appeared, and the crowd went crazy and applause Finlay and Hornswoggle. They took their time to walk to the ring interacting with the fans on their way. Mark Henry made his way to the ring too. Everyone boo-ed him, normal he's the "bad guy". He's massive, huge and pretty agressive. The game was brutal as Finlay and Henry used to be. I noticed that obviously the crowd started to be more into the match because, I heard more and more "Awwww", "Ouchhh", "Finlay kick him..". The connexion between the crowd and them started to be there.. that was interesting. Finaly won. He played with The french Flag and partied a bit with the fan before leaving the ring area.
- 4 - Shelton Benjamin Vs MVP:
Funny how a year can change people minds about wrestler. MVP last years was hating by them, and this year he was the guy supported by them. I was impressed by Shelton. He's a pretty good wrestler. MVP as usual is a living joke in my opinion. His wrestling skills are shitty, but the scripts are written like this so yeah noithing can be done. I think he's gonna have his ass kick on the next year on RAW. He's been drafted to raw, and that's gonna be interesting, because MrKennedy too and the USA title will be online soon. Matt's word "damn MVP is definitely fatter than on the TV.. aww"
- 6 - Matt Hardy vs Jeff Hardy:
At this moment my camera died. I was so angry. For the first match, I succeed to take some pretty cool pic and enjoy the show, and my battery died just before the two last matchs. The brothery hate match was electric. The public was supported Jeff at 300%. We saw an amazing match very brutal with table lader and chair, trash and every weapon possible. It was a no-disqualification match, a street fight match. Jeff was the only wrestler supported by the crowd who didn't win his match. The match was brutal and was pretty intense and long. I chivered all the time..
- 7 - HHH & The Undertaker vs The Legacy:
The main event.. the freaking amazing main even, The Undertaker teamed up with HHH to fight against Orton, Rhodes and DiBiassi. What an amazing main event isn't it ? The venue went crazy at the first note of MotorHead music. I thought "Holly shit Hunter is big... really big" I was recording his entrance and within 3 seconds he was at less than 1 meter in front of me I stayed speechless. My heartbeat increased when the light goes down, and the Phenom music started. THE Unnnnnnnnnnderrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrtaaaaaaaaaaaaaakerrrrrrrrrr... I didn't even realized that Justin presented him, I was mesmerized by him, Mark Calaway. I saw the first match of the understaker at the wwf back on 1990 when I was young and deifnitely he's my favourite ones since ever. Last night was special for me, when he walked down the ramp, I recorded it fo sho, but geez he's impressive.
Randy Orton's music started and the Legacy appeared. Matt's word "Geez his tattoo (of randy orton) are even worst for real than on the TV" He's such a dork he made me laugh. The match started and obviously the legacy cheated as usual. Hunter beated up Orton for good, and the match was a tag team match for a moment until Orton came back into the game. The Phenom was interacting with the public, dancing in rythm of the claping of the crowd. That was funny. Hunter was impressive by helding Rhodes on his shoulder head down during almost one minute. We saw some good fight, RKO, Old school undertaker, powerfull spear from Hunter, double chockslam by the taker on priceless.. and Tombstone and pedigree on the same time on priceless from Taker and Hunter to win this match.
The crowd explode, that was a magic moment. Hunter was exhausted on a corner. Taker walked to him give him a hand to rise up on his feet, to put his WWE title on his arm. That was the cutest moment EVER !!! The taker left the ring and shared a last glance with Hunter before leaving the ring area for good. The Game celebrated with the public before leaving the ring side too. And that was it..
I had to calm down, to realize it was over, and those 3 hours were too fast. I will uplaod pics when I'll be back from holidays. I've some pics and vids too not good res though because it was taken with cell phone but it was good memories.
Next WWE moment ? Sunday September 27th, @ Paris Bercy, we've already got our tix. It's sold out in less than a month.
