Who remembers Katherine Kurtz's Deryni novels? :O

Ohemgee. I just discovered them and have fallen head over heels in utter fantasy love with them, despite the fact that they're 30 years old. Gosh, you know, some things are just made to be fantastic forever.

I loved those!!! It's been ages since I read them, though. I should pick them back up. :)

Wow. I had no idea they were 30 years old :O (*Feels old now...*)

There's some good old fantasy and sci-fi out there. Piers Anthony's Cluster & Tarot series are early 1970s... hard to find, but so insanely good.

I read Pier's Anthony, and he's insane! All those weird worlds, and ridiculous puns he comes up with. He's got a great sense of humour.

Some of the best fantasy I've read in the last year has been from the 70s and 80s, just so many great classics!

Which ones have you read so far? I've enjoyed most of them, but found a few of them dull lately. I think the earlier books are my favorites, but there are a few good short stories in the anthologies that stick in my mind.

Ummm...I've read Deryni Rising, and In The King's Service. I'm just getting started, bebeh! ;D
I've got Childe Morgan and Deryni Checkmate in my gunsights next.

Deryni Checkmate is good, Childe Morgan is my least favorite so far. The Camber trilogy is good, as is the Heirs of St. Camber trilogy. It is sort of helpful to read them in order on the timeline, I thought, but not necessary. Happy reading!
