I bought a new small shovel yesterday to facilitate digging up a part of my garden, and my arms are noodle-y as a result. I think I have to do it again next week too--there're a lot more leaves. Hmmm.... I made a chicken and rice casserole using the directions on this jar of chicken gravy I got the other day. I replace the 2 cups cooked rice with one cup rice and one cup of couscous, and used some chicken sewers, and instead of cheddar cheese I use that Kraft Mexicana blend ( Read more... )

So, today, I moseyed on out and took pictures of a stall from which I have been buying deep fried bread - yau char kwai in Cantonese, eu char kewi in Hokkien, both roughly translated into oil-fried devil/ghost. I've googled to find that they are sometimes called Chinese Crullers.
