I got a string of bad news from the doctors today; I'm not ready to talk about it yet, because it's depressing, so I figured I'd do some memes instead. - I'm not dying or anything horrendous like that; it's more like disappointments.

As much as I love Bungie, I do feel like Halo is in the right hands with 343i. By the time Reach hit, I felt like Bungie was only making the games because Microsoft told them they had to. 343i is 343% dedicated to Halo and Halo only, and maybe that's selfish of me as a fan, but if you're developing a game, I kind of think that's where the energy level should be at. - Not that I wasn't head over heels in love with Halo 3, ODST, or Reach. It was just this feeling that I had while playing them that... I dunno. They were holding back or something

Whatever is going on health wise, I'm praying that God will give you strength to you.

Crysis 3's cutscenes are going to be beautiful and I'm going to think that I'm really there because it is just that awesome.

Halo 2...yeah. I know what you mean. I actually have an AU written (that I never posted online) where Cortana doesn't get left behind because it makes no sense other than to have angst for angst's sake (Really, other than Cortana getting messed up by the Gravemind, Halo 3 would have played out the same way if Cortana had gone back to Earth with John at the end.). And yeah, I can totally understand the hesitancy in embracing the whole Covenant/human BFF thing.

And knowing that Bungie was so far behind makes you wonder what they really had planned for Halo 2 orginally.

And MW3 is always fun. :D

Yes, everything will work out for Cortana. Maybe if I repeat that enough then I'll believe it.

(Actually, I remember reading a line that Frankie said about how Cortana's origins --how she was created from Halsey's cloned brain-- could come into play during Halo 4. And since we know that the Forerunners could create AI based on humans --a la Chakas = 343 Guilty Spark-- I'm wondering if there is an implication that there is something to help her implement some kind of Forerunner code to stop the rampancy process.)

I think they probably were because there was so much tension between them and Microsoft. 343i totally seems committed to taking care of the franchise.

Well, the docs today and over the weekend put me on new meds, so we shall see! In the meantime, I'm off from work until after Thanksgiving! O_O
