Written for yappichick. She was doing a fic meme that I honestly don’t have time for, but I didn’t feel right just making a request without giving her the opportunity for a reciprocal fic, either. So, we agreed on a trade. :D

It was supposed to be a short scene with a kiss, but me, write something less than 1000 words? HA! I’m sorry. (Not really.)

Though, I am anguished by the angst in this fic, I must profess my fangirl love for you.

The characterizations are spot on. John's stubbornness! Cortana's stubbornness! Cortana's longing to be human! Her fall into rampancy! John's reluctant acquiescence to leave her behind!

And the Kiss That Could Not Be Felt. Guh, you gutted me (in a good way).

I like how it has echoes of the end of Halo 2, but with more more emotion shown between the two of them. You have done this fic proud, chickie!

Hey, I had no problems with the ending. Because I know the way John operates. When he makes a promise...

...I think we writers are part evil, because gutting was my aim, and I know we've all done it at one point. Lol

Well, thankies! I couldn't decide on a scenario to begin with, but this one, alas, had the best set up.

I think this was my first time to write Coratana; her brand of sarcasm is almost opposite of mine, so she's kind of hard to write. (I know: practice makes perfect. :P)

The Kiss that Couldn't be Felt had to be written! Whether in a situation like this or not, I'm convinced that it NEEDS to happen canonically! Because, you know, then they have to fix it....;D

Well, you've accomplished your goal. Gutted, I was!

I think you did a great job writing Cortana. And yes, practice makes perfect, so any time you want to write any Halo fic, feel free to do so.

LOL I've stayed away from writing fanfic too long. I have SO MANY ideas! And I'm so excited about Halo 4, I just can't help myself. So, I've already been practicing over here. ;)

I don't think I can describe how much I want this situation to occur for realsies. It's like headcanon to me, just waiting for confirmation!

Edit: hmm. Wiring fanfic? Thanks, but no thanks, iPhone!
