Oh, this is lovely. You write a very good, believable Pepper. I can definitely imagine her taking in Tony's scent, especially during the Afghanistan months. The only thing is that I would have described Tony's scent sort of.

And omg, is that a Glenn Beck moodtheme?!?!?

Thank you! In-character-ness is actually my number one goal when writing fic! Scent is actually very key to memory, and I figure in his space, she wouldn't be able to escape it.

I actually didn't describe his scent on purpose, though I did consider it a weakness for this chapter when I made that decision. However, the lack of defined Tony scent comes down to two things:
1) I didn't want to pin it down because people have different opinions of what smells good. So... I didn't want to put down something that a few people would think smells terrible! For instance, people often refer to vanilla and lavender or cut grass as two scents that smell good, which I have to wholeheartedly disagree on!
2) (This is the main reason.) I'm actually allergic to 98% of colognes and perfumes.... really, most scents in general that are not food. ^^; So I don't know what many of them smell like, which ones are considered "good," or how to describe them. My truthful description would probably be to detail my body's irrational responses to start closing ( ... )

In-character treatment is also my number one goal too, always. :)

lol, I totally understand that choice. And I can, to a small degree, sympathize. I actually hate the way women's perfumes smell. I like the smells of colognes and men's deodorants and body washes/soaps infinitely better. People think I'm a freak because of that, but it's true. Oddly, I also kind of like the smell of gas, oil and garages because I worked in the service department of a car dealership for a long time smelling that (and to a degree, I see Tony as always having a hint of that smell lingering from the workshop ;)).

lol! I'm not a particular Beck fangirl cuz I'm just not a fan of monologues, but I'm a conservative and I always love running into others on LJ. I get tired of feeling swamped by liberals and feeling like I'm the only one on the face of the earth who doesn't assume that everyone (and every fictional character) is an ultra-liberal Democrat.

lol I agree that guy scents generally smell better than girl scents; I still couldn't recognize any of them, though. I used to like the smell of gas, and sometimes I still do. Actually, I prefer propane because it reminds me of Disney World of all places. Many of the rides smell like propane...

LOL You should give some serious thought then to joining therightfangirl - lots of fans of various things, mostly girls, and 99.9% all conservatives! We got tired of the same things! ;D
