Coming down from working on the senior project, Johnny showered, dressed, and sat on his bed. He needed to talk to Savannah and he'd put it off for far too long. He was bracing himself for an argument because he knew she was going to be upset and he assumed pissed that he was leaving early.

Savannah had been in a cheerful mood since her last class. She needed to pick a monologue for her final drama class next week, and thanks to Miss Ghanima, she had this interesting new physical activity that she'd need to do some more research into. She breezed into the room and smiled when she saw Johnny sitting on the bed.

"Hi sweetheart," she said bouncing down on the bed next to him.

"Hey, babe," he replied. "You're in a great mood, I see."

Great. He was just about to rain on it.

She nodded, kissing him.

"I was working with costumes and film in Drama, and I learned about this cool sport that I need to do some research on in Ghanima's class because I think I may have to start working with it as it seems fun."

"Good. Everything sounds like it's going great for you, babe." Which will make it easier, he supposed... right?

"I need to tell you something, Savannah. Uh... Sue called." A week and a half ago.
