When did it become their job to save the world? Sam remembered when Dean pulled Lucas Barr from the lake and he wasn’t satisfied, pissed they hadn’t saved Jake Devins too. “We’re not gonna save everybody” Sam had told him. Dean had reminded him of the same thing when Max Miller shot himself. Truth is, it wasn’t the demon blood that sealed Sam’s fate; no, Destiny only reserved his spot in the Cage in the moment when he forgot that one simple truth. But, honestly, he didn’t really care about everybody. If he could save the world for Dean, that’s all that truly mattered.
