2021 Reading and Movie Challenges

I last updated my Challenges on 6 February which makes me feel I should have read more books and watched more movies than I'm reporting on here. I do think I watched more than two movies but if so, they are lost in the mists of memory. I need to be more conscientious about jotting their titles down on my desk calendar. A Promised Land is still in my pile. I've heard good and bad about it. My husband does audio books, and loved it.

Loving was excellent. It amazing to me that, even in the 50s, such ridiculous and hurtful laws were still on the books.

Agreed. I was especially shocked that it happened in Virginia which I had always considered less racist than the rest of the South. Perhaps Alabama and Mississippi were worse, but Virginia, which almost touches Pennsylvania, looked south for its policies, not north. FanSee
