After spending the last two nights with me, my sister Debbie is back in her apartment. I loved sharing the holiday with her, but I also need my alone time, so...glad to see you, nice to wave good-bye.
My friend, who has MS, has Visiting Angels. They come in every day and she has a couple who are regulars. But she's only going to get worse over time, so this is a long term thing. But making the space for them to move around is really important.
The first thing I did when I moved into this apartment was to bring very little of my furniture and only buy any pieces I really need. I left great, wide aisles from the living area to the bedroom and from both to the bathroom. I wish Debbie had done the same, but she didn't. Now we need to create some sort of aisles even if they can't call themselves great or wide.
I'm going to see her on New Years Day, and we'll discuss disposing and moving. *sigh* Her tolerance for clutter is much, much greater than mine. FanSee
Well, I'm the oldest of four, with my closest sibling being five years younger than me, so I've been a bossy person from an early age. That can be a mixed blessing for my sibs. FanSee

I'd like to find someone who will come at least once a week for a while; Debbie is not a great housekeeper in the best of times. FanSee
