The wine and painting party sounds interesting, though I'm not sure how focused on the canvas I'd be once I started drinking, lol. It doesn't take much anymore. But, as you say, it's important to Olga, so I can understand you being willing to do it-and do it again.
Well, I keep reading that we should be especially open to new experiences as we age, but I don't think painting is going to be mine as anything more that a social occasion. *sigh* FanSee
It would have been more fun if I'd been there with more people I know. It was just me, Olga's sister (whom I met in the car driving over) and Olga. The room was so crowded that Olga ended up sitting across the room from us, so it was just me and Olga's sister. Oh, well. FanSee
Oh wow, a wine and painting party sound so cool! What a great way to see if you have any interest in continuing to paint as well, and no pressure to be 'good' at it. Hell, if you're not good you could just choose to picasso it and still have some fun.
Congrats on doing the wine-paint thing. I was wondering how Olga was able to get 35 such paintings on her staircase wall, unless she lives in a mansion and even then, until you mentioned their size, small. I wonder if she can see her progress over time. I hope you do this activity with her enough that you'll be able to.
Even though the canvases are small, still...35 of them! And she always refers to her house as 'my little home.' I haven't visited yet, but I shall ask to see her staircase when I do, believe me! FanSee
