Thanksgiving, A Belated Summary

Okay, I decided I really wanted to record and remember our Thanksgiving celebration, despite my failure to take pictures. It is one of my two favorite holidays -- the other is Passover -- and we celebrated at my house which has become a rare event in the past few years. I'm glad that all went well and it looks like everyone was happy.
The mash potatoes sounds interesting.

The potatoes went like wild fire! Besides mashing them with melted butter and hot milk, I put them in a Pyrex bowl and put the bowl in a pot with an inch of hot water in the bottom (a bain Marie, in essence) and kept the flame on low, so they came to the table hot despite being the first side dish complete. Hmm, that thing with the mashed potatoes sound interesting. My mashed potatoes are good, but you can always improve!

The recipe was in the New York Times, and the Times knows all! I am addicted to that newspaper. I have an on-line subscription seven days a week, and get the print newspaper Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I am thinking of cutting back to just the Sunday print edition since I always look at the on-line edition even when I have the print edition in front of me. FanSee
