March, You Are Coming In Like A Lion...

Mar 01, 2015 12:20

You better go out like a lamb, March, or else!

The first thing I saw this morning when I looked at my cell phone was "Winter Storm Watch:" one to three inches of snow, followed by an inch of ice. Ugh. So off I went to get my New York Times and some breakfast at Starbuck's.

If it's Sunday morning, it must be Starbuggy's. )

Lordy, lordy, it can't seem to move on. The days are getting longer, however, and the sun is higher in the sky, so I have hope. FanSee

I am sorry to say that I never finished S2. *hangs head in shame* That happens to me a lot...I start a series and then sort of drift away. I want to pick it up again, but I also want to start watching "Empire" and maybe watch a few more episodes of "Fresh Off the Boat:" both touted by Samantha.

Right now I'm watching the last season of "Justified" - will it end badly? - and Downton Abbey which is venturing into territory seldom tackled by to-the-manor-born series: the mid-20th C. FanSee

February limped it's cold ass out of here with nary a snowflake. Just windchills. We just have to get through March. And there have been brutal snow storms here in March....

We've had some of our heaviest snowfalls in March, but at this time of year, the snow is usually followed by a meltdown within a day or two. Our highs are reliably in the hign 20F's now or low 30Fs, so I am hopeful. FanSee

We should be hitting the above freezing mark during the day and then around -10 or so at night. That's so not happening!

This is how I want to live with the necessities of life close by, not having to rely on the car for everything. When I lived in San Francisco that's how it was and I miss it. Thanks for including us in your journey.

This neighborhood, where the condo is, is less convenient than my house. I miss having a Whole Foods around the corner, and a Super Fresh another half block away. On the other hand, the galleries are numerous around here, and I'm seeing some interesting items. So far, nothing that I'd buy for what is being asked, but I'm going to keep looking. FanSee

In order to get my walking errands done yesterday, I put some pants on before 8am! Pretty much unheard of for me on a Sunday. I admit to putting my PJs back on when I got home. :) What a nasty day in the neighborhood.
