A long-suffering sigh, and she pulls her best wry no arguments this time face.
Wandering into the kitchen, she places a small tote bag filled with staples for the night -- two tins of cocoa (milk and dark chocolate), marshmallows, peppermint and cinnamon swizzle sticks, and a mini s'mores making kit -- on the counter, then reappears.
Beckett's gone over to the window while Kate gets situated with her things, nudging back the partially-drawn curtain in order to sneak a peek at the sky.
It's getting darker earlier now, but there's been a certain gray quality to the way the clouds loom overhead, threatening heavy snowfall. She smiles briefly to herself.
"Looks like we'll at least be getting some later tonight," she murmurs.
