I'm very glad you enjoyed it!
Do you like the idea that Ten2 has the "soul" part of Ten riding around with him now? (I was curious to know if that came across.)

It's funny how metaphysical I had to get about it. :P
But i do think Eleven is more at peace than his predecessors were.... I guess I'm a bit cruel to prefer the more passionate versions!

I got a copy of Cat's Cradle: Time's Crucible for about $5 over ebay. It has received very mixed reviews. I liked it, but it is less about the Doctor and more about Timey Wimey contortions, the Tardis, and the ancient history of Gallifrey. I thought it was fun read a book, like Lungbarrow (also by Marc Platt) that builds a really crazy atmospheric world in an attempt to generate imaginative backstory for the Time Lords and their way of life. ... So really, my story has nothing to do with it... but it was inspired by the spirit of the novel rather than the content.

Yes! This happened. Canon-wise, I can only believe this or go insane. ;)
This was a gorgeous take on Ten.2 really is Ten, not Ten.2 (and I don't know what I'm really saying here XD ).
I adore this part:
He could have wept at that rose-colored terrycloth robe, flung carelessly over one easy chair. He could have sung out loud the praises of that pair of red trainers, kicked off under the desk.
