I agree. I don't really see the comparison btw. Jensen and McQueen (although I def see Dean as a McQueen fanboi).
Jensen is WAY more vulnerable an actor, even when playing tough, than McQueen. Whereas Steve was so powerfully, overwhelmingly masculine, in a way Jensen's beauty and vulnerability keeps him from being.
I find him to be masculine enough -- but I also think he butches it up with the way he uses his voice.
There was a fun movie called the Tao of Steve, about a guy who regarded Steve McQueen as the epitome of cool even tho he himself was a perpetual grad student kind of slacking his life away.
I also need to see Bullitt. Tho I did watch the car chase on you tube!
