Neat! What a great beginning to Kat's hunting life.

thanks very much for reading! out of my first batch of women, the first half of s1, already three are training to become hunters (tho Haley deniesit!) -- Emily, from Scarecrow, also goes into training. I guess Kat I felt had the infrastructure for training that would lead her to her first hunt the quickest!

I am really enjoying this process, seeing where the clues from each character's canon lead her story!!

she is so spunky, yet sensible. how would it change your life to be locked in a room with a spirit (though they turned out not to be vengeful)!!! she just is like, well, I'll keep going, but I think I'll be stepping up my weapons training and learning everything there is to know about the supernatural -- just in case!!

Nice glimps of how Kate began hunting.. Your background info on lamias was very interesting.

Kat was always one of my favorite characters, and it's nice to see how she grew up.

Also, this: In later years, Kat was still amazed that her first hunt was with the Winchesters, only a few weeks after they had triggered the Apocalypse they were lauded for putting to an end.

So much yes.

thanks so much for reading! this is one of my favorites, since it incorporates the truelife snakebite story-- the big event of 2009 for us. Fun to do so much research as well into the history of the area. ---Kind of different from your lamia story, yet similar as well! I love Keats.
