spn retrospective: s7

I do not remember s7 well, I didn't rewatch it with the fervor I had for previous seasons.  My overall feeling was that things were just too dire, the boys were losing everything, and their situation was too awful for me ( Read more... )

Find reading this interesting. You're going to finish up right on the 7th, aren't you :)

i loved plucky pennywhistle's magical menagerie! it was SO RIDICULOUS, and sam ended up covered in glitter spooge. and there was a unicorn farting rainbows. and some nice brotherly stuff. and time after time was just... dean in vintage suits and hats. homg. the historical stuff was neat and i loved how sam and dean each tried to figure out how to get dean back to the 21st century. working together, sixty years apart! also the sam&dean stuff - and the hallucifer stuff - in hello, cruel world was good. i liked hallucifer. he was like a psychotic toddler taking up sam's brain space and mark pellegrino seemed to be having a lot of fun with him. and ghost!bobby was interesting, if deeply, deeply sad.

i couldn't get into the mytharc because i just couldn't get into dick roman and leviathan as big bads, but overall i liked s7. i liked a bunch of individual episodes. i can't match most of the titles to accurate summaries either, tho.

I found Dick Roman to be so obnoxious that I was looking forward to the boys stabbing him in his face. Also the leviathans scared me. And the thing about corn syrup made me laugh (she said, drinking Coca cola!)

Hallucifer was a brilliant device, so sad to watch Sam fight and fight.

The glitter was pretty fun. :)

Party on Garth :D!!!

7.23 Survival of the Fittest -- I really loved how this ep ended, with Sam just confused and bereft. I will never understand how people didn't get what that did to him.

DITTO, the amount of crap Sam got for not 'looking' for Dean, but he was screwed all to hell in the head, I mean really!

I had the same trouble, even having gone through my photos I still can't match episodes to their titles and remember half of what went on...
