The demon inside him barely breathed. It was still there, but dormant for a while. Sam’s faith and love had driven it back.

I'm not sure what I feel about saintly Sam but oh well, who cares, this was still hot anyway!

Sam's saintliness is intriguing, but it's a part of the canon -- he has to confess and get all saintly in order for the cure to work. I have fun with it because normally we are all Dark!Sammy with the Abomination in his blood, but now those tables have been turned. For me, Dean was an absolute moral compass, and now he is spinning wildly... so it's a very interesting place to be writing!

I hope I'll be able to think about some more interesting scenarios. :)
