It's a very arresting photo isn't it? :) I found it a while back but forgot to make note of the url. :P

It's so much fun to work through all the Doctors and do the research and try to figure out what to write for each one. I really wanted to write about the loss of Adric (I liked Adric) but Peri wouldn't shut up about this photo! :D She is like that I've found. Also I just listened to a great audio, "Son of the Dragon," where Peri and Five meet Dracula, and it was just too cool. Peri is still exactly the same, and the more I know of her the more I like her. :D

Thanks very much for your sweet comment. I'm very happy that you caught that foreshadowing. There is the extant theory that the Doctor's regenerations are somehow influenced by what his companions want or expect.... I should meta on that. :)

Very nice indeed. :) I'd seen the photo before, but I don't think I've ever seen anybody come up with an in-story explanation for it, certainly not one as convincing as this. There is a deal of overlap between the Doctor's escapades and the world of Bond, except that Bond and the Doctor are at heart such very different characters. It'd be quite easy to confuse some of those Bond villains with the Master, on the other hand... ;D Good work, and thanks for contributing it to the fanwork-a-thon.

That's a good idea for a fic, too - Benton taking Three to the UNIT firing range for a bit of practice. One suspects, though, that when Three had finished hitting all of the targets with deadly accuracy, then discarded the gun contemptuously while nevertheless looking very superior about it all, Benton probably wouldn't ask him again. ;D

I loved the image of the Doctor running up against a Bond villain who looked a lot like the Master, but wasn't. :) I have this dream of my husband and I cosplaying the Master and the Rani from Mark of the Rani. My husband does grow an evil goatee, but his hair doesn't slick back very well. :)
