Awww..... What cuties. Naranbattar is definitely ginger! A certain Time-Lord would be quite jealous...
I don't know if I've ever seen bi-coloured gerbils before. The ones from my childhood were always one colour--the typical desert brown colour for gerbils, I think... though that was a long time ago, so I hope I'm remembering correctly!
My first family of gerbils were all solid colors. Borishka, the mum, was black, and Battu, the dad, was sandy colored. Most of their offspring were black, but a few were silver.
These new gerbils are not related to my old clan, and they are completely different colors. They are so pretty though. :)
I made an icon of Naranbattar looking noble with his whiskers. :)
They are so darn cute! I really like Naranbattar's ginger coloring. It is going to be fun watching them grow and continue to develop their personalities. Thanks for sharing :)
Only two gerbils from our first clan are still with us, but it has been amazing having them as pets.
I wasn't sure what to expect from lab animals, but our new gerbils are very sweet tempered and are friendly towards us.
This morning I thought Naranbattar had gotten out, but he was just sleeping very soundly in the can. That was a relief! Our older gerbils are allowed to roam a little, because they always come back to us and aren't too skittish to catch. :)
Yes, cats and gerbils do not mix. I love cats but I'm very allergic to them. Gerbils are so tiny it doesn't really matter if I am allergic to them (which I probably am).

I love Naranbattar's fine spray of whiskers.

I'd love to have some but my cat would also love to have them, in a very different way...
