you may have seen this clip of David Tennant as horrid wedding planner Mr. Slightlyman.

I decided to google stalk the show to find out more and I totally love local folk dribbler Melody Lane! perhaps because I myself am a local folk dribbler. I'm thinking about singing "Types of Wood" at my next Farmer's Market. :D I think Read more... )

The show looks really weird, but it is certainly a bastard grandchild of Monty Python, which is one of my favorite things in the whole world. Did you view the Brownlap clip? It is my whole sense of humor in a nutshell. Oh rats, I didn't sing Types of Wood today. Though it does get very deeply in my head.

I'll be honest, I didn't watch it tonight. does this make me a bad fangirl?

In my defence, I did record it, so I can make Austin watch it first, before I attempt to put myself through it, lol

tbh, it probs makes you a GOOD fangirl b/c you can't stand to see David play such a horrible person.

I'm not convinced the show would be good, just those little clips that I've referenced above do amuse me very much. Try THE MYSTERY POND!!! you'll like it I bet!! ;)

thing is I'm almost certain I'm going to hate it, given my initial reaction to the clips I've seen.

It reminds me too much of stuff like The League Of Gentlemen, and The Mighty Boosh, both of which I disliked, even though Austin watched them. I was never a Python fan either

I watched some clips of The Mighty Boosh and was unamused. The League of Gentlemen doesn't look great either....

But recently we went on youtube looking for Monty Python's "The Larch" and laughed very much. Then also "the dirty fork sketch" with Michael Palin's war wound, and John Cleese shrieking at his customers, put in stitches for the thousandth time. lolz!
