This chapter's in the back of my copy of AFfC, but I read it again just now.
(1) Drogon eating some kid makes me fear for Shireen. She did have nightmares about dragons...
(2) Dany is much kinder and more patient than I am. The Ghiscari cities are repulsive. I'd lock the gates and burn them.
(3) Something about Missandei bugs me. I realize she's become important to Dany because she has to serve as a translator, but still I don't like it.
I wonder exactly Dany hopes to accomplish with the Ghiscari cities beyond experience as a ruler. Does she just plan to leave for Westeros and say goodbye, or is she going to establish an empire? And what does this mean for the Free Cities?
I thought it appeared somewhere else but I wasn't sure.
1. Haha. Sorry I shouldn't laugh at that. But I do think Shireen is going to die and that... well that could happen.
I don't understand why Dany is conquering these cities either. They are tough to manage, have gross people, won't help he conquer Westeros. I mean, what's the draw? Experience is nice but if she wants to rule Westeros she has to leave and then what happens to these cities?
I'm also curious about what she intends to do with the mass of people who follow her, her freed slaves. If the five year gap had been in place, most of them would have started new lives in Meereen. But now they might just continue trailing after Dany. Is she going to take them to Westeros with her? I can't see the people of Westeros reacting well to that. They can't even get along with each other (Northmen vs. the strongly Andal center vs. the Dornish) so I doubt they'll be welcoming to thousands of foreigners.
And what's the plan for the Unsullied after she conquers Westeros? They're eunuchs, they can't settle down and start families. Is she going to keep them as a standing army? When they start to age and die, is she going to replenish their ranks?
Ah, yep, I had that one too. Still, that is sad. Dany is still only ... 15? Trying to rule what she's conquored and learn to be a good queen, stay alive and sort out teenage hormones... and now shes' got dragons that she's going to have to learn to control. And no one's trained a dragon in how long?
Granted she should have been watching them, but she has been a little busy and she's just thinking that they're still puppies... Poor girl.

Yeah that was the only part of the chapter I cared about. I can't wait to see the dragons potentially grow out of her control.
