- I've been thinking about Pia. When we first meet her in Arya's Harrenhal chapters in ACoK, we're told she's sleeping her way through all the knights in the castle. Then the castle comes under Roose Bolton's control and he locks Pia in a stock for the crime of fucking Lannister men and lets his own men rape her. Eventually Harrenhal ends up under Gregor's control and his men rape her too. Then Jaime arrives and saves her and gives her a job as a washerwoman - and then she's sleeping with his squire. GRRM probably means the character to show the horror that medieval war can cause for a common-born woman. But the character seems to exist to get fucked and it makes me uncomfortable.
- Do you think Jorah Mormont will reappear in the story? IMO, we know too much about him for him to just disappear from the story. Do you think we'll meet Lynesse Hightower for ourselves? It'd be interesting to get her version of their marriage and break-up. Like, why did she give him her favor at the tourney in the first place? Jorah depicts her as a money-grubbing whore when he tells Dany about her, but I'd like to think the truth is more complicated than that.
- Castle Darry and its lands were granted to Lancel. His father and uncle made him marry Gatehouse Ami (daughter of Mariya Darry) to strengthen his connection to Darry. Now that Lancel has given up his worldly possessions to devote himself to the Faith, what becomes of Darry? Does it legally pass to Lancel's father or sister? Of course legalities don't matter much anymore in Westeros. Will Ami remain Lady of Darry and marry someone else?
