Pairing: Kyuhyun/Sungmin
A/N: Inspired by Depapepe's Morning Smile. Reading angst makes me happier but writing ones only makes me sadder, so I'll try fluff now. Enjoy? :)
POV: No one
“Kyuhyun ah? You’re still awake?”
Kyuhyun turned, finding his new roommate looking at him sleepily. It was his first night debuting as Super Junior and living together with other members in their dorm.
“I can’t sleep, Hyung.” He answered shyly. Then he blushed, realizing how he sounded just like a five years old kid.
But Sungmin didn’t laugh like how Kyuhyun predicted. Instead, the elder guy smiled reassuringly. “Don’t worry, Kyuhyun. You’re soon used to this.”
“Hyung, I miss my family…”
Sungmin got up from his bed and kneeled down beside Kyuhyun. Slowly he stroked the boy’s hair. “Everyone does, Kyuhyun. At times like that, I usually seek for other’s company. You know, Super Junior for me is also a family. I will cling onto Eeteuk Hyung, Hyukkie, Hae, anyone.” He smiled again. “You’ll soon think the same, believe me.”
Kyuhyun stared at his eyes deeply, finding pure truth and honesty. “Then… Can I cling on you, Hyung?”
“Sure!” The elder chirped. “Now try to sleep. I’m here watching you.”
“Hyung you should sleep too. We have interview and a lot of dance practice tomorrow.” Kyuhyun protested.
“I know. I’ll go to sleep after you sleep.”
Not wanting Sungmin to sleep too late, Kyuhyun quickly closed his eyes. Like a miracle, all depression, fear, and complicated thoughts he had before now disappeared. Now he only felt warmth and love radiating from Sungmin’s gent strokes. In only about three minutes, Kyuhyun had fallen asleep.
“Goodnight, Kyuhyun ah.” Sungmin covered the magnae with blanket and landed a soft kiss on the forehead. Then he went to sleep too.

“Kyu? You’re already awake?”
Kyuhyun turned, finding his roommate looking at him sleepily. “I had a bad dream.” He answered shyly.
Sungmin smiled, this time like how Kyuhyun expected. He grew to adore his hyung’s sleepy smile, be it a goodnight smile or morning smile. “It’s merely a dream. It’s alright.”
“Hyung I can’t go back to sleep. I’m afraid I’ll meet those scary monsters again.” Kyuhyun maybe be known as the witty magnae who insolently replied his hyungs with sneaky answer, who treasured Starcraft more than anything. But only to Sungmin, Kyuhyun would show the real him. The innocent shy little Kyu.
Sungmin got up from his bed and kneeled down beside Kyuhyun. Slowly he stroked the boy’s hair like usual. “I’m here, watching you. I’ll protect you from any monsters, don’t worry. Now try to sleep again, will you?”
“But you’ll sleep right after I sleep, right? I know you’re very tired from yesterday and I don’t want you lack of sleep.”
“Yes, yes, I will. Thanks for caring so much, Kyunnie!” Sungmin smiled again, sweetly. But just when Kyuhyun was about to go back to sleep, the hand suddenly stopped moving. Kyuhyun curiously turned and found Sungmin was already asleep beside him.
“Hyung…” Now Kyuhyun was the one playing with Sungmin’s hair. “How can you watch me and protect me from monsters if you are sleeping?” He chuckled softly. He stared deeply at the elder’s angelic face, moving away some strands that covered the face, admiring the pure beauty.
Carefully, he shared his blanket with the sleeping boy. “Goodnight, Hyung.”
This time, there was no monster at all in his dream. There was only Sungmin with his smile, no, there was only Kyumin with their smiles.
